Weser-Radweg Alternativroute, 2. Etappe: Von Höxter bis Hameln

You start your cycle tour in the historic old town of Höxter with its Weser Renaissance buildings. Typical of the Weser Renaissance are the fan rosettes and carvings, which you can also discover at your destination in Hameln. Just outside the town, the Weser Cycle Path leads past the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Corvey. It is well worth a visit to see the architecture and magnificent examples of furnishings. Continue along the Weser to Holzminden. Here you have the opportunity to recharge your e-bike or take a break in the town of scents and flavors. The cycle tour continues past Heinsen to Polle Castle, where you change sides of the Weser on the ferry. The cycle tour continues past Reileifzen, where you can enjoy the view over the river landscape on a lounger before continuing through picturesque landscapes to Bodenwerder. A visit to the Baron of Lies von Münchhausen is a must. The cycle path continues directly along the Weser to Grohnde, where you cross the Weser on a passenger ferry. Shortly after Emmerthal, you will visit the magnificent and fairytale-like Hämelschenburg castle, the architecture of which has been completely preserved. After a short visit, you cycle along a paved path next to the road to your destination of Hameln.
