On an easy asphalt path, we hike through the enchanting Blutbachtal valley to the Baxmannbaude and back. On the way, we cross the "Hohenstein natural forest", which has been allowed to develop back into a primeval forest without any human influence. The eponymous Blutbach stream is also very natural and winds its way down into the valley. On the way, we pass the mighty "Riddekreuz"; it was erected in 1584 to commemorate a hunting accident, as a small information board explains. At the end of the route is the Baxmannbrunnen fountain, which is particularly popular with children. Numerous hiking trails meet here and invite you to continue your hike. Or you can simply take the path back to the Kreuzstein spring and relax at the Kneipp facility.
